ASD Crawlers RC is excited to announce our 4th Annual Autism Awareness Crawl (#AAC19). We invite our Crawling Family out to join us for another family-oriented day of crawling while spreading awareness and raising some funds for charity at the same time. We had an amazing turn out last year, a lot of people met new friends and we're able to hang out with old friends as well. With your participation, our amazing sponsors and volunteers, we raised well over $10K which was split up and donated to two local non-profit charities. The Lynn Center, Contra Costa ARC and Fly Brave Organization. The Lynn Center “exists to enhance and enrich the lives of children with special needs and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Toward that end we provide direct services and advocacy to assist those we serve in achieving their highest level of personal independence and self-sufficiency.” (http://www.contracostaarc.com/mission-values/). Fly Brave Organization’s mission is to create employment and training programs for adults with developmental disabilities that have aged out of the school system, focusing on three essential building blocks; hands on skills training with the community, social skills and healthy living. (http://www.flybrave.org/mission.html) This is year we aim to Crawl right over our accomplishments of previous years and CRUSH our record. Just as we did last year, we will donate all of our proceeds earned to a local nonprofit organization. Frank Raines OHV Park has been more than accommodating to our community and our cause over the last year. Check out the lineup of activities to choose from!
